YIKES AT THE MECHANIC'S SHOP

WE had to take in OUR truck to the shop. OUR mechanic in Mission, Texas is Excellent. He is a laid back professional competent chap.

He was pretty busy. He had 4 mecanicos working. A total of 5 souls at his garage. Only one of his crew was wearing a mask! Yikes to the 20th power! Mission, Texas is number 2 behind Edinburg, Texas as a Coronavirus hotspot!

WE were wearing bandanas.

Pretty  disappointing. Come on! Play it safe!

Wear a mask! Practice social distancing.

Limit outings. Stay safe. Stay healthy.

WHISTLING DUCKS

WE have ducks on the Dublin Ranch in Mission, Texas.  They fly by to hang out at the Coatello Ranch man-made pond.

These ducks are not handsome like Mallards.

They quack.

They are ducks!

A LA PINTA CON TRUMP TRUMP TO PRISON

A Trump billboard went up in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood in Houston, Texas.

The folks there implemented some modifications.

They remember that Racista President Trump called Mexicans "rapists and drug dealers".

It is time to #VoteTrumpOut!

#FregenATrump2020!

CHUCHI ON TEXAS WHITEWING DOVE SEASON

Chuchi looks out at the rainy sky of the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. It is the first day of Whitewing Dove Season. The hunting began at noon. Rain put the breaks on the event for a bit. That had to have upset the mighty huntsmen!
Many purchase chicken to grill on the hunting ground. Ice and beer bring up the rear. Because you need cerveza to hunt?

Wow.

THE COSTELLO RANCH MOVE-IN DAY

The Costello Ranch will see the family move into the McAllen, Texas,  Stewart Road location in a month. It took about 2 years to develop the property. 40 acres or so.

The Coronavirus Pandemic will not allow them to hold a massive house-warming party. That is just fine. Safety First!

The 2 school aged lads will study online. Back To School Pandemic Style! Normally they would attend the Sharyland school district *escuela!     *school

It will be good to see the C-Ranch not look abandoned!

DO GHOSTS WEAR COLOGNE?

WE took a walk to check on Emerald the pig Monday evening before it got dark. It smelled like cologne. The scent was coming from Grandfather's house next door. The old ranch house is locked up. It is more museum than household.

So was it a ghost from Abuelito's casa? Grandpa never wore cologne. Aunt Alice wore perfume.

Uncle Joe wore cologne. He wore English Leather or Brut. Last night's phantom smellfest was closer to Old Spice.

Maybe it was Spring messing with OUR senses?

Do ghosts wear cologne?

CHICKENS ON THE DUBLIN RANCH

WE have not had a chicken coop on the Dublin Ranch in Mission, Texas since the 1980s. No fresh eggs. No chickens for the coyotes to hunt.

WE had one rooster in the mid-1990s. He would crow at midnight and 4:00 in the morning. He would respond if he heard a rooster crow down the road. Macho type.

WE might consider having chickens ob the rancho.

The current team of dogs are not chicken friendly.

DPS IN THE AREA

It started this morning with a Texas Department Of Public Safety trooper driving up and down Stewart Road from about 5 Mile Line to 107 to a helicopter flying overhead in the evening in the same area.  It looked like a manhunt.

DPS did not bother to release a statement to local media!

It would be nice if WE folks in the countryside were kept informed!

What part of DPS do they not understand? The S is for Safety as in Public Safety!

THE DIRT BIKER STRIKES AGAIN

The Costello Ranch has been under construction for over a year now.  A wall along Stewart Road glides north to south. It is a 40 acre property.  A fence was erected to the far east sector. A 16 foot human-made pond is to the lower east central point. A barn and what appears to be a two story office complex is taking form to the mid-North area.

No gate along the north side of Stewart Road. This is a security issue. The "No Trespassing" sign will not deter people from driving into the ranch.

The dirt biker that lives north of the rancho routinely rides on the property.

No respect at all.

One wonders why Mr. Costello allows this!
