THANKSGIVING DAY 2020

 It was a hot Autumn day in Mission, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley.  The shade had US enjoying a Thanksgiving Eve afternoon.

Coronavirus is tearing up Texas as the Lone Star State lead the nation in Covid-19 deaths and infected people.

Thanksgiving Day was a quiet Turkey less one.

Just 3 people on the ranch thankful to be healthy.

THE COSTELLO RANCH MOVE-IN DAY

The Costello Ranch will see the family move into the McAllen, Texas,  Stewart Road location in a month. It took about 2 years to develop the property. 40 acres or so.

The Coronavirus Pandemic will not allow them to hold a massive house-warming party. That is just fine. Safety First!

The 2 school aged lads will study online. Back To School Pandemic Style! Normally they would attend the Sharyland school district *escuela!     *school

It will be good to see the C-Ranch not look abandoned!

WE try OUR best to stay cool in the hot Texas heat. It quite oppressive in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. The humidity can be terrible before 8:00 a.m.!

WE keep hydrated. WE find shade. WE use a fan or air conditioning. 

WE avoid needless travel. It is quite easier now that WE are living in this Coronavirus Pandemic! Hello, shelter in place!

THE GOOD DEEDS MAN

I made a trip to my neighborhood Dollar General to pick up some snacks for a night of TV.
I was confronted by a young bearded man as I stepped towards the parking lot. I thought he was going to ask for money. I also thought he might be handing out flyers for a local business.

I was wrong. He informed me that he was turning his life around by performing good deeds. He gave me his tennis shoes. The man behind me gave me $1.83.

It was an odd day.

JURY DUTY

Jury Duty.  Two little words that get on the nerves of many people. Why? Some people are of the mind that jury duty is a hassle! A monumental waste of time!

I have 7 family members that are in law enforcement and I like jury duty! I just have never been selected for this interesting civic duty! It is probably because I have seven family members that are in Law Enforcement!

County and Federal....I get rejected!
